David came from France in 1998 to run Franklin, having been actively involved with commercial finance for over thirty years. He gained his initial experience in this field in Chicago with Heller Financial. He founded and was the CEO of a commercial finance company in South Africa which he operated in partnership with Heller Financial, the South African arm of Banque Indo-Suez and Barclays Bank. He has extensive international finance experience having lived in Europe for over 10 years.
